kizikula is located on a coral cliff right on the indian ocean. our beach is a coral reef beef, rather than the white sandy beaches found in other places in zanzibar. we love exploring our coral reef beach at low tide (and we have plenty of water proof shoes for you to do the same).
we have dramatic tides at kizikula: at high tides you can sometimes dive right into the ocean, at low tides, you might need to walk 100m to reach the water. we recommend you plan your days around the tides just like our local village does.
you can access the ocean / reef beach via our cave or using a ladder.
the kizimkazi dimbani sandy beach is a 5-10 min walk south from us. there is also another uninhabited fishermen’s beach 15 min north of us.
pls watch watch out for the sea urchins
